Your Subconscious Mind Power Is The Universe
Remember the phrase ‘if you build it, they will come’? It’s true ” at least when you phrase it like this: if you think it, it will happen. Basically, if you can conceive it in your mind, it can come true.

Atheists: do u believe in the power of the mind & using ur subconscious 2 alter events & reality? hypnosis?
I AM ADDRESSING ATHEISTS ONLY HERE – THANK YOU -
1) Have you ever SUCCESSFULLY tried hypnosis or self-hypnosis?
Just curious if you have any awareness at all of the laws of the mind. Just like there are laws of the universe (ie relativity, gravity) there are laws of the SUBCONSCIOUS mind (ie. law of attraction). Indeed it’s not conscious thoughts but the subconscious thoughts that allow one to manipulate the world around you.
2) If you tried hypnosis and you successfully altered things with your mind (ie telekinesis, instant healing of burns or pain, influenced someone to do something etc…) would you believe in a power of your own mind?
By this question I am trying to determine if atheists have an awareness of the power of the subconscious mind or if they deny this (by fear of others mistaking this as "god" or…???)
—- Thank you —-
WOW! Thanks Old Kid! I now can see that Atheist and Christians are both in the same bag when it comes to close-minded.
TO ATHEISTS: If you haven’t tried it don’t diss it, because if you do it right it works 100% of time, to alter objects & events alike, and that’s altering reality!
Thanks FREE you get the 10 pts. To all the close minded, don’t bother with videos. I practice self-hypnosis and don’t need any science to prove to me what I’ve already proven to myself 100% of the time. I’m not talking about delusions but you have to try it for yourself. As long as you act like a close-minded sheep just like the christians you will know nothing, PERCY!

Umm… hypnosis can be used to alter one’s mind, but not reality.

Hypnosis can be used to alter perception not reality.

Yeah i have super powers. Every atheist does.

Of course we have a subconcious, and it’s very powerful indeed. Its a part of our physical brain, and stops when we’re dead.

1. Hypnosis is a scam. It is not a real process.
2. See answer to number one above.
There are no supernatural tendencies in the mind. Nobody can see the future, move objects mentally or anything other than think. (And many don’t do that well as this site will and has shown.)

Look up Penn and Teller’s ‘Bullshit’ series on the subject of hypnosis. It’s quite obvious that it is nothing but B.S.
Chris, you are obviously a gullible person. You can believe what you want but hypnotism is not a real thing. The people who are hypnotized are playing along because they do not want to feel like a failure. The reason it doesn’t work on everyone is that not everyone is as gullible as you seem to be.
Reality is only controlled by our brain’s interpretation of the 5 senses. What is interesting is when these senses get "tangled" together, a condition known as "synaesthesia", which alters people’s view of reality.

1) No, I do not buy into that sort of thing. Seen too many hoaxes in my day.

Hypnosis alters your perception, it doesn’t alter reality.
I am an amateur hypnotist and have seen some of what hypnosis can do, but it involves none of the things you mention. Being Hypnotized involves turning over one’s will to another.
I have seen no evidence to the mind having any powers except to reason and control the body.

you might have better luck convincing this stuff to a brick wall. people have to discover for themselves. hopefully, some people may have an experience that will change their outlook. the more people experience this, the better.

I believe in that equally as much as I believe in the divinty of Jesus Christ

That depends on the atheist but doesn’t have anything to do with the definition of atheist.
I’m one but know very well the power of our minds and our cocreative abilities. Buddhists do also.

I’m not atheist (consciously) (so I am not answering, just curious) but isn’t your sub-conscious a part of reality (or is separate from it with it’s own separate laws)? Or are you speculating (and does that come from the conscious or the sub-c mind)? And, is it possible that being close-mindedness (everyhing stays within) is subconscious as a protection mechanism of the mind or for conscious from foreign power or influence?

The new Zune browser is surprisingly good, but not as good as the iPod’s. It works well, but isn’t as fast as Safari, and has a clunkier interface. If you occasionally plan on using the web browser that’s not an issue, but if you’re planning to browse the web alot from your PMP then the iPod’s larger screen and better browser may be important.
