Definition of Success – Personal Empowerment Through Life Success Coaching

What is Your Definition of Success?

I want to take a few minutes and chat with you about success. No matter which book store you are in , which newspaper you read, there are all kinds of stories about success.

The media often has us believe that there is only one definition of success and that success is all about the material goods – the big cars, the big house etc. However, I have often found that folks achieve material success, but that their success is not necessarily bringing them the internal happiness and fulfillment, that feeling of being on purpose that they are seeking.

Do not get many wrong the material goods are certainly a part of being successful, but it is part of an overall definition.

This past week, I read an article on Keith Ledger as the movie The Dark Night is now playing in theatres. Though this young man has passed away the question in the paper was whether this young man had lived a successful life, because he had lived a fast life and a short life – that his story was actually cut short.

I believe success is different for everyone and only you can identify what that is for you. If you are living on purpose, doing something that brings you joy; if you are doing something that makes you feel fulfilled and satisfied, then to me you are in fact living a successful life.

As you go about your daily routine if you are wanting to bring change in order to achieve more success the first important thing is to determine what it is you do want as an end result . What makes your heart sing? What gives you that get up and go energy? If you had no concerns in regards to money and time what is the one thing that you would want to do on a daily basis because it is what drives you and gets you passionate.?

Once you discover what that is, and are actually willing to admit that to yourself, know that you can in fact create your life by design, and that you do have the characteristics for the making of a successful man or woman. Perhaps the characteristics have laid dormant for a while but you can revive them. You can hone sharpen your skills.

You have everything in you to live a life of purpose, a life that will bring you satisfaction and fulfillment, and that will bring you your successful life.
