Studies and for many personal experience has shown that heart attacks are one of the most dangerous things that can happen to a person. Women are more prone to heart attacks and dying as a result that are men. Having a negative mental attitude can actually increase your chances of having a heart attack. Constant worrying has a deteriorating impact on your heart.

So who will having a negative mental attitude affect your heart in a negative way?

Studies completed at the University of Kentucky have shown that patients who showed consistent negative thought patterns were at a higher risk of developing mental illness and or depression. Patients who have both heart issues and depression are at a greater risk of death.

Negative thinking will increase the levels of stress hormones which will inhibit your ability to heal and stay healthy. When you are focused on your poor health it is more difficult to live a life that is fulfilling. Being negative becomes a self fulfilling prophecy. From a symbolic standpoint, the heart is the focus of our ability to love. When we are negative and refuse to give love, we in many ways cause damage to our physical heart.

When we employ positive thinking, we are better able to allow our heart to remain healthy. When we talk about positive thinking we are not just thinking about ourselves from a selfish standpoint but also about others. We should want what is best for all. Having good things happen to you does not means something bad has to happen to someone else. There is an attitude of abundance that goes with positive thinking. This approach will help you reach a place of mental peace and a feeling of satisfaction.

Ways to think Positive.

Becoming a person that thinks positive will take effort and focus. Our minds have been trained to move towards the negative. This means that when you begin to think negative you will have to force your mind towards the positive. Here are some tips to help you make that change.

1. Focus on avoiding negative thinking and thoughts – When you realize you are thinking negative thoughts say “Stop” or “No” out loud. This will help your mind stop what it is doing. Then move towards the opposite of what you were thinking. Think of the ways that the situation can actually work not failure.

2. Use positive affirmations daily – There are many lists on the internet of positive affirmations. Find some that work for you and fit the areas that you want to change. Say them at least once per day. Your mind will begin to rewire itself. Here are some examples:

I love who I am and I appreciate the person that is me.

I feel comfortable and safe in expressing my feelings.

I am deserving of giving and receiving love.

I know that life will always bring the best to me for me.

I attract only loving and kind people into my life.

3. Stay busy – When we keep ourselves occupied we do not have time to worry about what can go wrong. We are too busy making things happen. As you accomplish things you will realize that you enjoy getting things done more than worrying.

4. Stay physically active – When you take the time to get out and enjoy the sunshine you will feel better. Exercise helps release chemicals that occur naturally in our bodies that help us feel better.

What You Must Do As A Father Or Mother To Raise Happy Youngsters

Being a parent is a huge responsibility, because what you teach your children, will affect them their entire life. It is too bad that common sense is not something that all parents have. Good parenting can basically be defined as good common sense. So much is passed along from parents to children, and the manner in which a child is raised is very often how that child's parents were raised. Learning by mistakes is very important when raising a child, and it is possible to learn from the mistakes of your parents.
